Consolidated Building Material, headquartered in Roodepoort, Gauteng, stands as a formidable construction conglomerate, comprising two key entities: Drift Supersand and Drift Laezonia, an open-cast mining operation specializing in the production of sand, stone, and aggregates to serve the construction sector. In addition, our group includes West End Claybrick and West End Roofing, a highly reputable manufacturer renowned for the production of premium clay bricks and roof tiles, solidifying our position as a prominent player in the construction industry.
Drift Supersand and Drift Laezonia
Drift Supersand annually manufactures an aggregate volume exceeding 2.2 million tonnes. This output comprises a diverse range of rock and crushed rock grades, tailored for applications such as ready mix, concrete product manufacturing, roofing, and road construction materials, spanning from lower sublayers to base coarse layers. Additionally, our production encompasses specialized sands integral to the asphalt manufacturing process.
West End Claybrick and Roofing
West End Claybrick produces more than 75 million face, semi-faced and plaster clay bricks and 17 million concrete roof tiles. Furthermore, our operations extend to the fabrication and provision of roof tile fittings and dry ridging products, catering to the needs of developers, contractors, and wholesale clients within the construction industry.
